How we stand out from the crowd

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

In a small team there is nowhere to hide, each person has to make a valuable contribution, take ownership and deliver. So when you’re growing a business, finding the right individuals to join you is essential (and yes, nerve-wracking!). Fortunately, I’m lucky enough to work alongside fantastic individuals, who are not only excellent at their jobs but are uniquely talented, special people.

As well as being fantastic marketing and communications professionals, I thought it would be fun to share some lesser-known facts about the Project Neon team:

While many of our clients know Rebecca (Projects Director) can speak 6 languages, you may not know that she an artist. As a talented illustrator, she has previously sold pet portraits and in her spare time she can be found designing patterns for children’s clothing. She also trained to become a light aircraft pilot!

Claire (Communications Director) is a former “Irish Rose”. The national Rose of Tralee competition is a celebration of the "aspirations, ambitions, intellect, social responsibility and Irish heritage" of modern young women. In Ireland being a “Rose” is a prestigious, coveted title which shows strength of personality and suitability to serve as ambassador.

Blair (Communications Manager) is an ex-football reporter who spent 6 months living in South America. He was also in a band called Jezebel which supported Biffy Clyro and The Undertones.

Julia (Marketing Manager) has previously been a security guard on a bicycle! She taught herself to knit via YouTube and decided that her first project would be an adult jumper.

Georgie (Marketing & Communications coordinator) is a trained ski instructor who spent a season in the Austrian alps teaching and shepherding skiers down mountains - and of course making the most of the apres-ski!

Kristyn (Digital Marketing) used to be was a beauty influencer with a following of over 55K on Instagram. She was on PR lists for dozens of makeup companies, invited to brand events, and even worked at a Tommy Hilfiger runway on Venice Beach

When Joe (Graphic Designer) isn’t designing he can also be found DJ’ing at nightclubs or hiking in the Yorkshire moors.

As for me… while I may not feel it, the team would all agree that I’m “super active”. I’ve previously run marathons and competed in triathlons. Nowadays that’s limited to running to work and spending weekends skiing, surfing, hiking, paddle boarding, cycling.

As you can see at Project Neon we are a mixed, talented bunch! As a Stavanger based Marketing & communications agency, we use our individuality to our advantage. We offer a unique blend of skills, which aren’t always “traditional” and it’s through the combination of these skills that we not only help our clients stand out from the crowd, we aim to too.
