TCO required a modern, value-driven website that would showcase their technology, strengthen their brand, and reflect their position as a global downhole innovator.

Brief

With over 26 years of industry expertise, TCO has built a global reputation for enhancing efficiency and safety through innovative downhole technology. Their product range – from Completion Barrier Plugs to Chemical Injection Systems – demonstrates a clear commitment to safe and sustainable energy production. We have supported TCO with marketing and communications for several years, and the need for a new website has been evident for some time. The previous site was heavily outdated and lacked both the functionality and visual quality expected from a modern, user-friendly platform. Internally, the feeling was that it did not accurately represent or showcase TCO’s brand, people, technologies, or achievements – so much so that staff often avoided sharing links to it.

TCO has a strong visual identity and a distinct market position. They needed a website that could fully express this, while also simplifying how products and solutions are presented and making the user experience more intuitive.

The new website therefore needed to:

•  Refresh messaging to better communicate customer value
•  Improve content structure for easier navigation
•  Support sales and lead generation activities
•  Bring TCO’s people, track record and achievements to the forefront
Approach

Because of our long-standing relationship with TCO, we already had a deep understanding of their business, technology, and customer value. We began with a series of meetings with key team members to define what the new site needed to achieve and how it could best support future growth. 

Three key priorities emerged:

  • Clearer value-led messaging: The old site was overly technical and failed to articulate the benefits of TCO’s solutions.
  • Stronger visual identity: The new site needed to showcase TCO’s brand colours, people, and culture – elements almost entirely absent previously.
  • Improved navigation and structure: The product categories required simplification, and the user journey needed to become intuitive, with clearer calls to action.

Working closely with the TCO team, we developed new copy that balanced technical authority with a clear and compelling value proposition. We reorganised product and solution categories to make them easier to explore and ensured key information was quick to access.

We introduced new imagery, brand-led design elements, and far more photography featuring TCO personnel. This human-centred approach elevated the professionalism and authenticity of the site.

A strong emphasis was also placed on supporting lead generation. A structured Case Studies page, with downloadable PDFs, was built and integrated with TCO’s CRM, enabling seamless tracking of enquiries and content downloads. This integration provides the sales team with clearer insight into customer interest and supports more proactive follow-up.

Finally, we ensured TCO’s extensive track record was placed front and centre. Dynamic visuals showcasing key achievements appear on the homepage, supported by clear internal links guiding users to case studies and insights.

The new TCO website delivers a bold, modern digital presence that finally reflects who TCO is today: a proven leader in downhole technology with a strong global footprint. It communicates value clearly, aligns with their brand identity, and provides a seamless user experience.
